• Wholesalecrafts.com Year-End Sales Break
   the Million Dollar Markr

January 11, 2006. Mooresville, NC -- Wholesalecrafts.com, the premier web service for sourcing American and Canadian made crafts, announces record-breaking 2005 website sales.

Total sales for 2005 were $1,211,767 – a 68.4% increase over 2004 year-end results. 5,774 orders were placed online- a 55% increase over 2004 year-end orders. The web service also reports 12,748 enrolled retailers and 900 enrolled artists to date.

“Our sales show that we continue to offer a one-of-a-kind business opportunity for artists and retailers,” said Nancy Vince, President. The highest sales for the year were in October with $163,435, September with $146,657 and November with $136,816. These numbers are even more impressive considering that more orders are placed outside the Wholesalecrafts.com shopping cart than within the system. Vince estimates that only 10% - 30% of transactions are placed through the website’s shopping cart. The rest bypass the system by retailers placing orders by phone, fax or email directly with the artists.

Wholesalecrafts.com reports “up-to-the-second statistics” on their site, which can be accessed by its members. The site reports total sales, number of orders and number of inquiries. Retailers may place orders through the shopping cart or directly with the artists. Wholesalecrafts.com does not charge a commission on sales.

Enrollment in Wholesalecrafts.com is free for retailers. Artists pay a fee and are eligible for many marketing opportunities including a printed Buyers Guide, which is mailed three times a year to retailers, and co-op advertising in the top trade publications. Artists may receive a temporary ID and password by calling 1-888-427-2381. Retailers may enroll through the website at www.wholesalecrafts.com.

Wholesalecrafts.com features jewelry, home décor, gifts, fashion accessories, and garden accessories in a wide array of price points and styles on its newly redesigned website.
